Ungeduld des Herzens
(Impatience of the Heart)
Impatience of the Heart is the story of Isaac, a disillusioned Bundeswehr soldier whose encounter with Edith, a sharp-witted young woman in a wheelchair, forces him to confront his own insecurities and misguided need for redemption. As their bond deepens, Isaac’s attempts to “fix” Edith awaken her vitality but mask his inability to truly desire her. Driven by shame and obsession, he fails to see how his efforts to save her push their fragile relationship to a breaking point, turning their connection into a reflection of his unresolved struggles with ego and identity.
